Ok. Interesting topic was discussed a little at work today. Whether or not sex tape is a good career move. Supposedly there was pageant held a few years ago where Miss Delaware lost her title because she made a sex tape. That’s ridiculous if you ask me because she didn’t do anything illegal. We all have sex. Everyone at some point in their lives experience sex. This day and age, everybody is doing it. Now, that doesn’t mean everybody should just go out and make one. I’m just saying it isn’t a crime. They’re tons of people making a good living off of that industry and honestly I think its wrong to judge anybody off of it. A celebrity could do a sex tape and it makes the front page meanwhile most porn actors/actress’ aren’t even a household name. You mean to tell me Miss Delaware is any less of a women or any less attractive because she took part in an act we all do? Nonesense.
The Yankees face big issues going into this next season. A lot of big names hit the market this year and the Yankees could make a few moves to better their chances at wining the pennant. The most sought after player will most likely be Max Scherzer due to his Cy Young award winning year in 2013. He turned down an extension from the tigers that guaranteed him 144 million because he wants 200 million. I don’t think any team will spend that much on a pitcher who’s 30 years old. Other big names like Jon Lester and Hanley Ramirez also hit the market but both are most likely going to demand to much money for the Yankees to address other issues. In my opinion and I’m no baseball insider or anything but, we could sign a few players for relatively cheap and fill up a lot of wholes with guys like Michael Morse who can DH for them and has raw power after hitting 16 home runs and not playing everyday and thriving at AT&T ballpark which is a hard ballpark to hit in. We could also sign Asdrubal Cabrera who has a better than average glove at short and is durable. Casey Janseen is also available. The fireballer from LA shouldn’t be judged on a bad second half. Hell probably come relatively cheap and sure up the back end of our bullpen. Starting pitchers like Edison Volquez and Brett Anderson could give us a solid rotation and not break the bank either. I have no idea what the Yankees payroll is like but if there was any year to spend money, its definitely this year.
Ever had that feeling where someone could be right in front of you and still feel alone? That feeling where you no longer understand each other. Where it’s bigger than people just changing. Where the distance between you and and the person you used to know almost kills you? The spiritual separation hurts. Where you in constant distress and you feel like you need to blame yourself because what other logical reason would it be right? Where you’re no longer worried about losing that person but more worried about whether they’ll remember you.
Your supposed to be able to handle criticism from your partner right? You shouldn’t have to look for advice from anyone else. If you come to me about a particular problem or concern and I give you factual proof of how to make your certain situation, you shouldn’t have to seek answers elsewhere for validation. Even its a simple question. If I been through that situation and know the answer, you shouldn’t have to ask your friends or family the same question just so you can believe me. That has to be one of my biggest pet peeves.
Interesting topic I heard this morning on the radio. The topic was basically about calling heavy set people “fat” and whether or no it’s offensive. One of the hosts point of view was pretty interesting. His point was that ,unless it’s a medical reason, if you took offense to being called fat that you have to take it upon yourself to change it. If you don’t then no harm done. Me being a “fat” person, I agree with that to an extent. I don’t take offense to the word at all. That’s not to say other heavy set people don’t. Now if you use it maliciously to try and get under someone’s skin then it’s wrong I think but then again that could go for any descriptive word. The real issue is that there’s grey areas, if it’s safe to use it on Tuesday it should be safe to use it on Wednesday too. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t rely on society to be politically correct. You have to learn to pick your battles and me personally, I won’t lose sleep over being called fat.
I love when woman brag about the attention they get from guys. I love how woman expect the royal treatment just because theirs other men out there. What they don’t know is every guy you get attention from doesn’t want to marry you. He’s not looking for the same thing you are and he’s not giving you that attention because he thinks you’ll be a great wife. Now I know us guys are no different, we get the wrong impression most of the time as well but I feel the sooner women get that idea out of their head, relationships in general will go smoother. Most women aren’t even ready for marriage, most want the show, the dress, the attention. If your sole purpose in life is to get married, you need to reevaluate the intangibles that make relationships work.
Joe Maddon decided to use his opt-out clause in his contract to no longer manage the Rays in 2015. This comes after he basically said he was devoted to the Rays and that he’ll always be a Ray. 10 days after Andrew Friedman left, for which seems to be a more lucrative deal from the Dodgers , Joe Maddon had a change of heart. Maddon’s record with the Rays was 754-705 which isn’t horrible considering the teams he inherited and became contenders the past few years, even reaching the World Series. Some speculation has Maddon following Friedman to the Dodgers but several sources say otherwise .The Dodgers finished first in their division but failed to advance in the playoffs under Don Mattingly. All signs lead to him managing the Cubs, where they will pay out the rest of current manager Rick Renteria’s contract. Wherever he ends up, that team will be set at manager.
